In early 2021 Kú started an age group program called the Kú Next Generation of Champions or in short – NextGen. This program provided an opportunity for strong age group athletes to be part of a program and ecosystem focused on delivering improved athlete performance.
The program was first launched in the Netherlands and then expanded in 2022 to the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark and Spain and is still expanding as we speak.
A diligent selection takes place of high performing age group athletes who are on a mission to be the best in their age group and a desire to qualify for the Ironman world champions.
Every country team consists of 4 NextGen athletes and Kú will invest in these athletes to
reach world class level and for a select few to prepare them to become a professional athlete.
For the selected few we provide a 2-year contract with the fastest bike technology currently available, race bonuses, attendance of a Kú aero camp and other benefits.
Till date more than 30 age group athletes have taken part of the Kú NextGen program and since the inception of the program 2 Ironman age group world champions have been delivered, 4 ironman age group world championship podiums and 15 ironman age group champions.
This program is a benchmark of triathlon athlete development and provides hope and opportunity through sports.

And neither is it to go fast. With the Kú NextGen Program we dare to challenge the established bike industry, who tend to put all their focus on the pro athletes. Instead, we have decided to invest in the core of the triathlon community – the age groupers.
Triathlon is one of the rare sports where amateur athletes are on the start line with their professional heroes. With the Kú NextGen program we provide hope and opportunity to age group athletes, and create the optimal environment for growth,
So with time a few selected age group athletes from the Kú Next Gen program will not just be at the same start line as their hero’s, but racing them! The journey from the age group towards the pro ranks is very tough, and that’s where we want to provide a helping hand, by laying the foundation to create the next generation of champions.
Kú Cycle decided instead of supporting a team of 8 professional athletes on a global level,
we spread our efforts and trust to 30 – 40 age group athletes located in 10 different countries to be a part of the global Kú ecosystem.
Each and every single one being amateur heroes in their own local community. By providing support to a broad range of promising age group athletes, Kú Cycle aims to create a more diverse and inclusive triathlon community, which will benefit everyone involved.
It´s believed that the Kú Next Gen program will provide a unique opportunity for the age group athletes involved, which ultimately is going to help attracting new participants, increase the visibility of the sport, and create a positive and supportive culture, that will help to nurture and develop the next generation of triathletes.
